Synopsis (short abstract) The FAO partnership and Liason Office (PLO) in the Republic of Korea (ROK) has been actively engaged in various impactful initiatives. This includes supporting the Blue Transformation initiative, receiving recognition through an exclusive interview on Arirang TV's 'Within the Frame,' and being honoured with the Korea Environmental Award. PLO's commitment extends to supporting broader FAO initiatives, actively engaging with youth, enhancing partnerships with Republic of Korea stakeholders, raising FAO's visibility in the country, and strengthening collaborations with international organizations. These efforts underscore ROK's dedication to addressing global challenges through proactive and collaborative approaches.

    This newsletter contains important news from Q1 and Q2 of this year. Ranging from DG QU’s congratulatory remarks at 2023 Forest Outlook, High-level meeting between FAO and KMI on HIHI, Meeting of ADG/RR Jong-jin Kim and Ulsan Metropolitan City.
