dc.description.abstract Inspired by the initiatives taken by FAO and recognizing the need to manage and conserve sharks1) (sharks, rays and skates), the Republic of Korea established its National Plan of Action for the Conservation and Management of Sharks (NPOA-Sharks) in August, 2011. This NPOA-Sharks aims to set the general direction for the conservation and management of sharks and is subject to review at a regular interval and subsequent amendments.
