التغلُّب على تحدٍّيات المياه في الزراعة
2020إنّ القيود المكثّفة المتصلة بالمياه تهدّد الأمن الغذائي والتغذية. وبالتالي، ثمة حاجة ملحّة إلى اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لجعل استخدام المياه في الزراعة مستدامًا ومنصفًا على نحو أكبر. ومع أنّ الزراعة المروية لا تزال أكبر القطاعات المستخدمة للمياه العذبة على الإطلاق، إلا أن ندرة المياه العذبة تطرح مشكلة تتفاقم أكثر فأكثر بسبب تزايد الطلب والمنافسة على موارد المياه العذبة. وفي الوقت نفسه، تواجه الزراعة البعلية تقلّبًا متزايدًا في المتساقطات بسبب تغير المناخ. وستؤدي هذه الاتجاهات إلى تفاقم النزعات بين مستخدمي المياه، وانعدام المساواة في الحصول على المياه لا سيما بالنسبة إلى صغار المزارعين والفقراء في الريف وسائر الفئات السكانية الضعيفة.يقدّم تقرير حالة الأغذية والزراعة لعام 2020 تقديرات جديدة عن مدى انتشار ندرة المياه في الزراعة المروية ونقص المياه في الزراعة البعلية، فضلًا عن عدد الأشخاص المتضررين من ذلك. ويشير التقرير إلى وجود اختلافات كبرى بين البلدان وتباينات مكانية ملحوظة ضمن البلدان نفسها. وتستخدم هذه الأدلّة للاسترشاد بها في مناقشة السبل التي يمكن من خلالها للبلدان أن تحدّد السياسات والتدخلات المناسبة استنادًا إلى طبيعة المشكلة ونطاقها، وبالنسبة أيضًا إلى عوامل أخرى مثل نوع نظام الإنتاج الزراعي ومستوى التنمية في البلدان وهياكلها السياساتية. ويقدم هذا المطبوع، استنادًا إلى هذه المعطيات، توجيهات للبلدان عن سبل إسناد الأولوية للسياسات والتدخلات الرامية إلى التغلّب على القيود المتصلة بالمياه في مجال الزراعة، بموازاة ضمان الحصول على المياه على نحو يتّسم بالكفاءة والاستدامة والإنصاف. -

No results found.The Early Warning Early Action (EWEA) Report on Food Security and Agriculture is developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It provides a quarterly forward-looking analysis of major disaster risks to food security and agriculture, specifically highlighting: - potential new emergencies resulting from imminent disaster threats - new developments in countries already affected by protracted crises which are likely to cause a further deterioration of food insecurity This report is part of FAO’s efforts to systematically link early warnings to anticipatory actions. By providing specific early action recommendations for each country, the report aims to prompt FAO and partners to proactively mitigate and/or prevent disasters before they start to adversely impact food security.
