    قررت لجنة مصايد الأسماك في دورتها السادسة عشرة إنشاء لجنة فرعية مختصة بتجارة الأسماك لتكون إطاراً متعدد الأطراف للمشاورات بشأن التجارة الدولية بالمنتجات السمكية. وقد عقدت الدورة الثامنة للجنة الفرعية في بريمن، ألمانيا، من 12 الى 16 فبراير/شباط 2002. وتوقفت اللجنة عند الأحداث المهمة التي حصلت مؤخراً في مجال التجارة الدولية بالمنتجات السمكية وبحثت في قضايا محددة تتعلق بالتجارة الدولية، والبيئة والتنمية المستدامة لمصايد الأسماك: - مدوّنة السلوك بشأن الصيد الرشيد والتجارة الرشيدة بالأسماك - إعلان صادر عن مؤتمر الدوحة الوزاري لمنظمة التجارة العالمية وتأثيرها على تجارة الأسماك - سلامة ونوعية المنتجات السمكية - إمكانية تتبّع المنتجات السمكية وقضايا تتعلق بوضع البطاقات - اتفاقية التجارة الدولية بالأنواع الحيوانية والنباتية البرية المعرضة للخطر وتجارة الأسماك وتوقفت اللجنة الفرعية، بصفتها هيئة سلعيّة دولية معنية بالمنتجات السمكية، عند التقدم المحرز في تعاونها مع الصندوق المشترك للسلع الأساسية ووافقت على عدد من مشاريع نقل السلع

    The 2023 edition of the Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean presents an update of the data and trends in food security and nutrition in recent years. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis and the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the economic slowdown, rising food inflation and income inequality have had an impact on regional figures. The most recent data shows that, between 2021 and 2022, progress was made in reducing hunger and food insecurity in Latin America and the Caribbean. However, the progress achieved is far from the targets established to meet SDG 2 of ending hunger. In addition, one in five people in the region cannot access a healthy diet and malnutrition in all its forms, including child stunting, micronutrient deficiencies and obesity continue to be a major challenge.

    The Protocol of 8-9 July 1946 relative to the dissolution of the International Institute of Agriculture, transferred the functions and assets of the said Institute to FAO. Of these assets, the Library is unquestionably the most outstanding and is a lasting record of the Institute's work and its achievement in the field of agriculture. This catalogue will undoubtedly contribute towards a better knowledge of this international Library. This volume in its present form, represents the systematic card-index, by subject of the Brussels Decimal Classification, in French and English, and it's supplemented by the general alphabetical index of authors.
