FAO's Strategic Framework for 2022-2031 is being formulated in accordance with its Four Betterd concepts. In this context, as FAO Türkiye, we are carrying out a Strategic Framework and Four Better-targeted studies in all projects. The outputs of all our projects that are currently being implemented throughout Türkiye in accordance with the motto of a Better Life have become the main file of this issue. Special studies are underway for women farmers and producers. in our 10th issue, members of one of the 22 women's cooperatives we support throughout Türkiye tell their success stories from their own mouths. The work for Syrians under Temporary Protection does not slow down. The point at which these studies have come contains very important data. In the projects we carry out with the Global Environment Facility, successful results are obtained one after the other. In this issue, there are also the results of these projects. -

FAO distribution efforts have strategically targeted key locations impacted by the recent earthquakes

One of the sectors that suffered the most serious economic damage in the two major earthquakes Türkiye experienced on February 6 was the agriculture and food sector. In the earthquake zone, called the Fertile Crescent, there was a risk that producers would not be able to produce. What FAO, which rushed to help from the first moment of the earthquake, has done so far has continued to be the main topic of this issue. In addition, a project implemented in Türkiye on land degradation was presented as an example at an international meeting in Ecuador. In addition, a joint project of UN agencies was successfully finalized. -

Türkiye and Syria were shaken by two major earthquakes on February 6th. The earthquakes resulted in the deaths of more than 54 000 people and left hundreds of thousands injured and millions homeless in the two countries. As one of Türkiye's most important agricultural regions was affected by the earthquakes, the agriculture and food sectors also suffered serious damage. The 13th edition of FAOTURN was mainly focused on the earthquake. The response of the FAO and its partners on the ground, as well as the United Nations' aid efforts, were the main focus of this edition, which covered the work carried out in the field from the very first moments of the earthquake under the Emergency Response program.
