No results found.Current agrifood systems are affected by numerous crises, including biodiversity loss, food insecurity and malnutrition. Addressing these challenges requires strengthening our understanding of the relationship between nutrition and biodiversity to ensure sustainable agrifood systems that benefit both human and planetary health. This flyer aims to present how the Initiative on biodiversity for food and nutrition can support the sustainable use of biodiversity in policies and programmes contributing to food security and nutrition while countering diversity loss in diets and ecosystems. It outlines the main elements of the Initiative, presents what FAO has undertaken to support these elements, and highlights the relevance of the Initiative to the achievement of several of the goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. -
