Synopsis (short abstract) This is the second edition of the OSS Newsletter, set for publication in September 2019. Adopting a special focus on the FAO-China South-South Cooperation (SSC) Programme, a flagship SSC initiative for FAO, this newsletter offers a highlight of the Programme’s key recent activities and accomplishments. These highlights include prominent international forums and events, such as the Changsha Forum and Annual Consultation Meeting, which brought together a wide range of SSC stakeholders to forge collabrative intitiatives to improve food security and nutirion. Field projects and recent missions, particularly to the DRC, are also featured prominently in the newsletter. The newsletter also features an update on new high-impact partnerships signed between FAO, China, and the Netherlands, Madagascar, and Sri Lanka, respectively.
