No results found.This is the second newsletter of the FAO PLO in ROK. It contains news on the activities that have been done in the second quarter of 2021. It is divided into four main parts: Firstly, we actively supported ROK’s delegation’s participation in the 36th Asia and the Pacific Regional Conference (APRC) and organized the National Consultation for the APRC Conference providing an opportunity for ROK stakeholders to learn about the APRC in advance. Secondly, we strengthened our connection with HQ, particularly the Chief Economist, FAO RAP and South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) office, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Division (NFI), and expanded the influence of PLO. Thirdly, we have strengthened our relationship with Korean partners such as Ulsan City, Korea Foundation, and CLAS of SNU. And lastly, we have created our Twitter account as well as published English and Korean brochure to share with stakeholders, as well as the public. -

Ranging from DG QU’s congratulatory remarks at 2023 Forest Outlook, High-level meeting between FAO and KMI on HIHI, Meeting of ADG/RR Jong-jin Kim and Ulsan Metropolitan City. In addition it also talks about how PLO is supporting FAO’s initiatives and how PLO is engaging with youth, as well as PLO’s engagement with ROK’s stakeholders. PLO has been working hard to raise FAO’s visibility in ROK through various occasions and to strengthening partnerships with International Organizations in ROK as well. No results found.With financial assistance from Denmark and in collaboration with the Republic of Benin, the Fisheries Department of FAO is implementing in West Africa a programme of small scale fisheries development, commonly called the IDAF Project. This programme is based upon an integrated approach involving production, processing and marketing of fish, and related activities; it also involves an active participation of the target fishing communities.This report is a working paper and the conclusions and recommendations are those considered appropriate at the time of preparation. The working papers have not necessarily been cleared for publication by the government(s) concerned nor by FAO. They may be modified in the light of further knowledge gained at subsequent stages of the Project and issued later in other series. The designations employed and the presentation of material do not imply the expression of any opinion on the part of FAO or a financing agency concerning the legal status of any country or territory, city or area, or concerning the determination of its frontiers or boundaries. -
