It builds upon the achievements and lessons learned from the previous 2018–2022 Pacific CPF, emphasizing stakeholder engagement, programmatic approach, and sustainability. Derived from the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for the Pacific Islands (Pacific UNSDCF) 2023–2027, the Pacific CPF aligns with FAO's commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and focuses on key SDGs such as Zero Hunger (SDG 2), Life below Water (SDG 14), and Life on Land (SDG 15). By leveraging partnerships and prioritizing sustainable practices, this framework aims to address the unique challenges faced by the Pacific Islands and contribute to their long-term development. -

2018The First FAO and SPC Joint Pacific Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry meeting was held at the Iririki Resort in Port Vila, Vanuatu on 20 October 2017. The meeting combined the previous Agriculture Ministerial meetings organised separately by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Pacific Community (SPC). The Ministerial meeting was the culmination of the inaugural Pacific Week of Agriculture. The meeting was attended by Ministers from Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau and Tuvalu, and Heads of Delegation from Australia, Federated States of Micronesia, French Polynesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Palau, Tonga and Vanuatu.

2019This standard describes phytosanitary measures that reduce the risk of introduction and spread of quarantine pests associated with the movement in international trade of wood packaging material made from raw wood. Wood packaging material covered by this standard includes dunnage but excludes wood packaging made from wood processed in such a way that it is free from pests (e.g. plywood). The phytosanitary measures described in this standard are not intended to provide ongoing protection from contaminating pests or other organisms. -
