2016A raíz de la Resolución 1/2015, se utilizaron varias fuentes de información para preparar el borrador de acuerdo normalizado de transferencia de material (ANTM) revisado. Los Copresidentes tuvieron en cuenta las recomendaciones recibidas de los tres grupos de Amigos de los Copresidentes (grupos de AC), que abordaron las categorías de usuarios y de cultivos, los mecanismos de acceso y las tasas de pago, y una posible cláusula de rescisión, respectivamente1. Los Copresidentes han resumido los resu ltados de los debates de los grupos de AC en la presente nota. -

2016El Grupo de trabajo, en su informe del pasado bienio, destacó que los problemas estructurales que había detectado en el funcionamiento del Sistema multilateral no podían solucionarse simplemente con una revisión del Acuerdo normalizado de transferencia de material (ANTM). Al mismo tiempo, el Grupo de trabajo expresó su preocupación en el sentido de que si no se abordaban en su totalidad estos problemas estructurales, se pondría en riesgo el futuro del Tratado en su conjunto. Los Copresidentes ha n elaborado la presente nota a fin de facilitar un nuevo debate en el Grupo de trabajo encaminado a abordar soluciones estructurales para mejorar el funcionamiento del Sistema multilateral y del Tratado en su conjunto.

The 2023 edition of the Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean presents an update of the data and trends in food security and nutrition in recent years. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis and the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the economic slowdown, rising food inflation and income inequality have had an impact on regional figures. The most recent data shows that, between 2021 and 2022, progress was made in reducing hunger and food insecurity in Latin America and the Caribbean. However, the progress achieved is far from the targets established to meet SDG 2 of ending hunger. In addition, one in five people in the region cannot access a healthy diet and malnutrition in all its forms, including child stunting, micronutrient deficiencies and obesity continue to be a major challenge. -

Furthermore, these studies also evaluated the feasibility of potential interventions to reduce food losses and waste. -

No results found.The Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (KJWA) was established at COP23 to address six topics in the agricultural sector's role in climate change. KJWA has contributed to sharing scientific and technical knowledge, but limitations remain in translating outcomes into concrete climate actions. The new four-year joint work on the implementation of climate action on agriculture and food security, which prioritizes ending hunger and considers national circumstances, includes the creation of an online portal for sharing information. The four-year agenda is shaped and broadened through the submission of views by parties, observers, and civil society and will be considered by SBSTA and SBI in June 2023.
