Il montre l’importance d’adopter une stratégie des droits de l’homme lors de l’élaboration des directives volontaires. Une telle stratégie signifie la prise en compte de la corruption et des relations inégalitaires du pouvoir à l’intérieur et autour des structures foncières dominantes. La gouvernance de l a tenure des terres et des autres ressources naturelles serait ainsi plus responsable, transparente, démocratique et participative. Disponible en anglais -

Cette publication conjointe entre la FAO et UN-HABITAT cherche à améliorer et à mieux définir les processus, mécanismes et institutions de gouvernance foncières dans les zones rurales et urbaines. Ce document, tout en soulignant l’excellence des politiques, législations et réformes techniques foncières, en termes d’élaboration, relève toutefois un certain nombre de problèmes de mise en œuvre, en constatant des glissements, des interruptions, voire même des inversions. Enfin, ce document considère que l’adoption du principe de bonne gouvernance et la mise en place d’une perspective politique et économique constituent des facteurs essentiels d’amélioration en termes de conception des réformes et d’élaboration d’outils performants de gouvernance foncière.

The 2023 edition of the Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean presents an update of the data and trends in food security and nutrition in recent years. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis and the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the economic slowdown, rising food inflation and income inequality have had an impact on regional figures. The most recent data shows that, between 2021 and 2022, progress was made in reducing hunger and food insecurity in Latin America and the Caribbean. However, the progress achieved is far from the targets established to meet SDG 2 of ending hunger. In addition, one in five people in the region cannot access a healthy diet and malnutrition in all its forms, including child stunting, micronutrient deficiencies and obesity continue to be a major challenge. -

No results found.The Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (KJWA) was established at COP23 to address six topics in the agricultural sector's role in climate change. KJWA has contributed to sharing scientific and technical knowledge, but limitations remain in translating outcomes into concrete climate actions. The new four-year joint work on the implementation of climate action on agriculture and food security, which prioritizes ending hunger and considers national circumstances, includes the creation of an online portal for sharing information. The four-year agenda is shaped and broadened through the submission of views by parties, observers, and civil society and will be considered by SBSTA and SBI in June 2023. -
