2015Le commerce mondial de produits agricoles et alimentaires s’est accru rapidement ces dernières décennies, avec des pays amenés à prendre davantage part aux échanges, que ce soit en tant qu’exportateur ou en tant qu’importateur. Cette tendance devrait continuer au cours des prochaines décennies. Par voie de conséquence, les échanges mondiaux de produits influenceront de plus en plus l’étendue et la nature de la sécurité alimentaire dans toutes les régions du globe. Le défi, aujourd’hui, est donc de veiller à ce que l’essor du commerce agricole aille dans le sens de l’élimination de la faim, de la malnutrition et de l’insécurité alimentaire, et non l’inverse. L’objectif de cette édition de La situation des marchés des produits agricoles est d’atténuer la polarisation actuelle des points de vue sur les impacts qu’a le commerce des produits agricoles sur la sécurité alimentaire, et sur la manière dont le commerce agricole devrait être régi de sorte qu’une ouverture accrue aux échanges prof ite à tous les pays. En donnant des éléments concrets et des éclaircissements sur une gamme de sujets, le présent rapport vise à contribuer à un débat plus éclairé sur les choix de politique et à dresser l’inventaire des améliorations qu’il faut apporter dans les processus politiques au sein desquels ces choix sont faits. The 2023 edition of the Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean presents an update of the data and trends in food security and nutrition in recent years. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis and the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the economic slowdown, rising food inflation and income inequality have had an impact on regional figures. The most recent data shows that, between 2021 and 2022, progress was made in reducing hunger and food insecurity in Latin America and the Caribbean. However, the progress achieved is far from the targets established to meet SDG 2 of ending hunger. In addition, one in five people in the region cannot access a healthy diet and malnutrition in all its forms, including child stunting, micronutrient deficiencies and obesity continue to be a major challenge. -

No results found.The Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (KJWA) was established at COP23 to address six topics in the agricultural sector's role in climate change. KJWA has contributed to sharing scientific and technical knowledge, but limitations remain in translating outcomes into concrete climate actions. The new four-year joint work on the implementation of climate action on agriculture and food security, which prioritizes ending hunger and considers national circumstances, includes the creation of an online portal for sharing information. The four-year agenda is shaped and broadened through the submission of views by parties, observers, and civil society and will be considered by SBSTA and SBI in June 2023.
