No results found.A regional workshop on “The application of AquaGRIS: the FAO global information system, to build national registries of aquatic genetic resources” is planned to take place from 6-7 June 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop, co-organized by FAO and SEAFDEC, aims to: 1) enhance the awareness on the importance of having a good information baseline on the aquaculture species and related farmed types and wild stocks in order for a country/region to make information-based decisions on AqGR management and the sustainable development of the aquaculture sector; 2) enhance participants’ understanding of AquaGRIS and their capacity to create national registries through it; and 3) develop a strategy and plan for the creation and long-term maintenance of AqGR registries in the region and start, after the workshop, the process of creating national registries in a group of countries that will be selected during the workshop. -

The guidelines set out principles and internationally accepted standards of responsible practices for the use and control of land, fisheries and forests. They provide guidance for improving the policy, legal and organizational frameworks that regulate tenure rights; for enhancing the transparency and administration of tenure systems; and for strengthening the capacities and operations of public bodies, private sector enterprises, civil society organizations and people concerned with tenure and its governance. The guidelines place the governance of tenure within the context of national food security, and are intended to contribute to the progressive realization of the right to adequate food, poverty eradication, environmental protection and sustainable social and economic development.

No results found.Le partenariat entre le Royaume du Maroc et la FAO est établi de longue date et s’est renforcé au fil du temps. L'assistance technique de la FAO au Maroc repose sur un partenariat stratégique et une approche programmatique. Le cadre de programmation par pays (CPP) entre le Maroc et la FAO pour la période 2023-2027 tient compte des recommandations de l’évaluation du dernier CPP 2017-2020. Il est aligné sur le nouveau Cadre stratégique de la FAO 2022-2031 et sur les priorités de collaboration fixées lors de la 36e session de la Conférence régionale de la FAO pour le Proche-Orient et l’Afrique du Nord. Il est également le résultat de consultations élargies. Ces consultations ont d'abord eu lieu lors de l'élaboration du cadre de coopération des Nations Unies pour le développement durable» pour la période 2023-2027 et ont été approfondies par des discussions ultérieures ainsi que des ateliers bilatéraux de travail. Un atelier de concertation a également été organisé avec le Ministère de l'agriculture, de la pêche maritime, du développement rural et des eaux et forêts, réunissant les directions techniques, les partenaires institutionnels, les organismes d’enseignement et de recherche dans le domaine de l’agriculture et de l’alimentation ainsi que d’autres partenaires nationaux.
