No results found.The Project "Afforestation, Forestry Research, Planning and Development in the Three North Region of China" - GCP/CPR/009/BEL - known locally as the "009 Project", is jointly financed by the Governments of Belgium and China, with Technical Assistance by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Its activities are concentrated on the Korqin Sandy Lands in northeastern Inner Mongolia, a sub-region of the Three-North Shelterbelt Program. Its action field covers parts of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and of the Provinces of Jilin and Liaoning. The Project resorts under the State Forestry Administration through the Three North Bureau. The aim of this Project Technical Review is to document the achievements of the Project and to identify weaknesses and problem-areas that still remain to be tackled. It is also meant to disseminate results and assist planning of futher applied research. This Project Technical Review Document is the main document presented and discussed during the Conference on the Project's results, held at the City of Tongliao, Inner Mongolia, in August 2002. -

How did the Asia-Pacific region rescue over 700 million people from extreme poverty between 1980 and 2005? What policy lessons can we learn and implement to improve conditions for the nearly 1 billion people in the region who continue to live in poverty? Examining Asia's recent agricultural reform and trade liberalization experiences, in the context of current global crises, presents an occasion to reflect on past achievements and consider future opportunities. This publication synthesizes the proceedings and presents technical papers from a policy forum convened by FAO and China's Ministry of Agriculture. The first part summarizes key points from presentations, panel discussions and deliberations which sought to capture the essence of three decades of Asia's agricultural policy experience. The second part incorporates eight technical papers which addressed the forum's main themes: Chinese agricultural policy reforms and performance over the past 30 years; Asia's changing agricultu ral policy landscape; agricultural trade liberalization; and the implications of the global food and financial crises for food and agriculture.

2018年4月，联合国粮农组织（FAO）召开了第二届生态农业国际研讨会：“推广生态农业 实现可持续发展目标”。本届研讨会达成了部分协议并作出相关承诺，为推广生态农业、实现可持续发展目标奠定了基础。会议讨论并列举了推广生态农业为当地带来的主要好处、在全球层面推广生态农业的机遇以及将生态农业纳入其全球项目的具体路径，并发起了“生态农业推广举措”。该“举措”被视为推动并实现《2030年可持续发展议程》（特别是可持续发展目标2）的未来方向和战略方法。
