No results found.سجلت أسعار القمح ارتفاعاً على المستوى الدولي خلال أكتوبر/تشرين الأول عقب تراجعها في الأشهر القليلة الأخيرة بفعل الطلب القوي على الصادرات والتوقعات بتراجع الإنتاج في بلدان منتجة رئيسية في نصف الكرة الشمالي. كما سجلت أسعار الذرة ارتفاعاً أيضاً، مدعومة بتراجع الإمدادات في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وارتفاع المبيعات من الأرجنتين وأوكرانيا. بالمقابل، تسبب تباطؤ الطلب وضغط الحصاد في تراجع أسعار الأرز على المستوى الدولي في الجنوب الأفريقي، واصلت محدودية الإمدادات وضعف قيمة العملة في عديد من البلدان دعم أسعار الغذاء الأساسي – الذرة – الذي حافظ على مستوياته المرتفعة عبر المنطقة دون الإقليمية وفي شرق أفريقيا، كانت أسعار الحبوب الخشنة خلال أكتوبر/تشرين الأول أعلى بأشواط قياساً بنظيرتها قبل عام في عديد من بلدان المنطقة دون الإقليمية، وذلك يعود بصفة خاصة إلى تدني الحصاد. ففي السودان وجنوب السودان، حافظت أسعار الحبوب الخشنة على استقرارها أو سجلت تراجعاً طفيفاً، لكنها لا تزال مرتفعة بفعل الحالة الصعبة التي يعيشها الاقتصاد الشامل وفي بلدان الكومنويلث المستقلة، سجلت أسعار دقيق القمح في طاجيكستان وقرغيزستان زيادات غير طبيعية خلال أكتوبر/تشرين الأول عقب عدة أشهر من الاستقرار النسبي، مدعومة بصفة رئيسية بارتفاع عروض الأسعار في سوق التصدير الإقليمية -

No results found.This report describes the water accounting study for the Nile River Basin carried out by IHE-Delft using the Water Productivity (WaPOR) data portal of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO). The Nile River Basin faces a huge challenge in terms of water security. With an expected doubling of the population in the basin in the next twenty-five years, water supply in the basin will be further depleted as demands for agriculture, domestic and industry continues to grow. Water availability in the basin will also be threatened by climate change and variability and pollution from increased agricultural and industrial activities and from urban areas. However with limited up-to-date ground observations, in terms of duration, completeness, and quality of the hydro-meteorological records it is difficult to draw an appropriate picture of the water resources conditions. The Water Accounting Plus (WA+) system designed by IHE Delft with its partners FAO and IWMI has been applied to gain full insights into the state of the water resources in the basin.
