Synopsis (short abstract) 우리 모두에게 안전한 식품은 필수입니다.하지만 식품은 세균, 화학물질, 곰팡이, 기생충 등 다양한 위해 요소로 인해 오염될 수 있으며, 이는 200가지 이상의 질병을 유발할 수 있습니다. 이러한 질병은 건강은 물론 생계, 교육, 경제에까지 영향을 미칩니다.그러나 우리가 올바른 정보를 가지고 행동에 나선다면, 이러한 문제는 충분히 예방할 수 있습니다. 매년 6월 7일, 유엔 식량농업기구(FAO)와 세계보건기구(WHO)는 전 세계적으로 세계 식품안전의 날 행사를 함께 진행합니다. 세계 식품안전의 날은 식품안전이 모두의 권리이자 공동의 책임임을 되새기는 날로, 우리 모두가 각자의 역할을 해야 함을 일깨워줍니다. 올해 세계 식품안전의 날을 함께 기념해 주세요! 정책 결정자이든, 식품 업계의 사업자나 종사자이든, 교육자이든, 소비자이든 모두가 함께할 수 있습니다!

    This World Food Safety Day, we are celebrating the important role that science plays in making informed decisions about food. This toolkit covers what governments, food businesses, consumers, academics and schools can do to participate in World Food Safety Day, 2025. Opportunities to get involved include sports activities, food safety quizzes, exhibitions and webinars! Without science, it would not be possible to maintain food safety along supply chains, which often span the globe and cross multiple borders -- these events and activities are important and fun ways to shed light on the role of science in food safety.
