The Project "Reduction of Food Loss and Waste in Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Türkiye" under FAO-TÜRKIYE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME ON FOOD AND AGRICULTURE (FTPP II), Ref # GCP/SEC/015/TUR ends on April 30th, 2023. The closing meeting will be done virtually on April 17th at 11:00am - 12:05pm. This concept note has been prepared to describe the objectives, methodology and target audeince of the meeting. In accordance with the FTTP Agreement signed between FAO and the Government of Türkiye (Article XI. Visibility 52), the Turkish flag has to be used along with the FAO and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Logos. That's why the agenda of the closing meeting has all the 3 logos -

Funded by the Government of the Republic of Turkey, the project aims to assist Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in developing measures to reduce food loss and waste. In particular, the project will support the recipient countries to: • develop national gender-sensitive strategic policy and action plans to reduce FLW; • establish FLW data collection systems, as well as measure and monitor FLW; • improve knowledge management and capacities; and • raise awareness and understanding of FLW (causes, impact and solutions) among actors in all sectors, including consumers, at national and regional level, leaving no one behind. -
