Questo progetto è stato sviluppato dal Segretariato dell'Accordo sulla conservazione dei cetacei del Mar Nero, Mar Mediterraneo e Zona Atlantica Contigua (ACCOBAMS) e quello della Commissione generale per la pesca nel Mediterraneo (CGPM), in collaborazione con il Centro di attitività regionali per le aree specialmente protette (CAR/ASP). L'obiettivo è migliorare la conservazione di alcune specie marine vulnerabili (cetacei, tartarughe marine, uccelli marini, ecc.) incoraggiando pratiche di pesca responsabili nel mar Mediterraneo.

Book (stand-alone)Technical studyAplicação prática da abordagem ecossistémica das pescas 2013Se bem que os princípios de uma Abordagem Ecossistémica às Pescas (EAF) não sejam novos, há muito pouca experiência prática na sua aplicação. Traduzir os objectivos de orientação de alto nível em objectivos operacionais (EAF) e em acções é, no presente, o grande desafio para garantir pescarias sustentáveis. Se bem que os princípios de uma Abordagem Ecossistémica às Pescas (EAF) não sejam novos, há muito pouca experiência prática na sua aplicação. Traduzir os objectivos de orientação de alto nível em objectivos operacionais (EAF) e em acções é, no presente, o grande desafio para garantir pescarias sustentáveis. Este documento visa fornecer um panorama geral da EAF aplicada às pescarias marinhas e das suas vantagens; considerar os meios necessários para aplicar/pôr em prática a EAF; considerar a série de medidas de gestão disponíveis; fornecer uma panorâmica do processo de gestão; listar as eventuais necessidades de investigação adicionais requeridas pela EAF; enumerar os principais obstáculos para a aplicação da EAF.

This new strategy replaces the previous strategy from 2017 to better FAO's climate action with the Strategic Framework 2022-2031, and other FAO strategies that have been developed since then. The Strategy was elaborated following an inclusive process of consultation with FAO Members, FAO staff from headquarters and decentralized offices, as well as external partners. It articulates FAO's vision for agrifood systems by 2050, around three main pillars of action: at global and regional level, at country level, and at local level. The Strategy also encourages key guiding principles for action, such as science and innovation, inclusiveness, partnerships, and access to finance.

No results found.The FAOSTAT emissions database is composed of several data domains covering the categories of the IPCC Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector of the national GHG inventory. Energy use in agriculture is additionally included as relevant to emissions from agriculture as an economic production sector under the ISIC A statistical classification, though recognizing that, in terms of IPCC, they are instead part of the Energy sector of the national GHG inventory. FAO emissions estimates are available over the period 1961–2018 for agriculture production processes from crop and livestock activities. Land use emissions and removals are generally available only for the period 1990–2019. This analytical brief focuses on overall trends over the period 2000–2018. -

No results found.This report illustrates the food loss assessment studies undertaken along the maize, sunflower and beans supply chains in Uganda in 2015-16 and 2016-17. They aimed to identify the critical loss points in the selected supply chains, the key stages at which food losses occur, why they occur, the extent and impact of food losses and the economic, social and environmental implications of the food losses. Furthermore, these studies also evaluated the feasibility of potential interventions to reduce food losses and waste.
