Brochure, flyer, fact-sheetBrochureعمليات التعداد الزراعي الوطنية وكوفيد-19 2020ؤثر جائحة كوفيد-19 أيضًا على أنشطة التعداد الزراعي. ويقوم حاليًا 62 بلدًا بإعداد (45 بلدًا) أو أنها أعدّت (17 بلدًا) عمليات تعداد زراعي في جولة التعداد العالمي للزراعة لعام 2020. ويفيد تقييم سريع ومشاورات غير رسمية مع السلطات الوطنية المعنية بالتعداد الزراعي بأنّ 34 من البلدان تقريبًا قد أشار إلى حصول تأخير أو إلى تعليق عدد من أنشطة التعداد. والبلدان التي باشرت أو هي على أهبة المباشرة بالعمل الميداني وإجراء التعداد قد علّقت هذه الأنشطة إلى حين انتهاء الأزمة. واتفقت معظم البلدان على أنّ الأثر الكامل على إعداد عمليات التعداد الوطنية وتنفيذها سيعتمد على تطور الأزمة.

Brochure, flyer, fact-sheetBrochureكيف يؤثر كوفيد-19 على النظم الغذائية لمصايد الأسماك وتربية الأحياء المائية 2020تخضع مجموعة الأنشطة اللازمة لتسليم الأسماك والمنتجات السمكية من الإنتاج إلى المستهلك النهائي للتأثيرات غير المباشرة للجائحة من خلال تطبيق تدابير صحية جديدة أو تغير طلب المستهلكين أو النفاذ إلى الأسواق أو المشاكل اللوجستية المتصلة بالنقل وبالقيود المفروضة على الحدود. وينعكس هذا بدوره سلبًا على سبل عيش صيادي الأسماك ومستزرعي الأسماك، إضافة إلى الأمن الغذائي والتغذية للسكان الذين يعتمدون بشكل كبير على الأسماك للحصول على البروتينات الحيوانية والمغذيات الدقيقة الأساسية. وتستعرض هذه الإحاطة الموجزة التحديات الجارية والتدابير المقترحة لحماية الإنتاج والدخل لهذا القطاع وللفئات الأضعف إضافة إلى المحافظة على العمليات والدعم لسلسلة الإمداد.

Brochure, flyer, fact-sheetBrochureكوفید- 19 وسلامة الأغذیة: إرشادات للسلطات المختصّة المسؤولة عن النظم الوطنیةّ لمراقبة سلامة الأغذیة 2020طرح جائحة كوفید -19 الجاریة تحدیاً استثنائیا وغیر مسبوق أمام السلطات المختصةالمسؤولة عن النظم الوطنیة لمراقبة سلامة الأغذیة یفرض علیھا مواصلة الاضطلاع بالوظائف والأنشطة الروتینیة التي تقضي بھا اللوائح التنظیمیة الوطنیة والتوصیات الدولیة. وفي كثیر من البلدان، تعمل قطاعات واسعة من العاملین بالسلطات المختصة من المنزل، حیث یعدّ العمل عن بعد ھو الممارسة المعتادة، فضلا عن إلغاء جمیع الاجتماعات الشخصیة أو تعدیلھا إلى مؤتمرات تعقد عن بعد. ومن بین التحدیات القائمة الحفاظ دون انقطاع على استمراریة الأنشطة الروتینیة مثل التفتیش على عملیات قطاعات الأعمال في مجال الأغذیة، وإصدار تراخیص الصادرات، ومراقبة الأغذیة المستوردة، ورصد وﺗرﺻﱡﺪ سلامة سلسلة الإمدادات الغذائیة، وأخذ عینات من الأغذیة وتحلیلھا، وإدارة العوارض الغذائیة، وإسداء المشورة بشأن سلامة الأغذیة ولوائح تنظیم الأغذ یة لدوائر صناعة الأغذیة، والتواصل بشأن قضایا سلامة الأغذیة مع الجمھور. وتھدف ھذه الإرشادات إلى معالجة بعض القضایا الأساسیة، وعلى وجه التحدید كیفیة ضمان فعالیة البرامج المختزلة للتفتیش على سلامة الأغذیة بما یخفف من المخاطر القائمة؛ ویمكن استحداث تدابیر مؤقتة لاحتواء المخاطر التي تھدد سلامة الأغذیة على نطاق واسع والحدّ من أي خلل خطیر یصیب برامج سلامة الأغذیة الوطنیة

The achievement of the first two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – end poverty and hunger by 2030 – requires substantial investments. To fully contribute to sustainable development, both public and private investments should be perfectly aligned with the SDGs. In this context, empowering youth to invest in their own farms and businesses along agricultural value chains should be a key component of sustainable development-centered investment promotion and mobilization strategy for three reasons: the improvement of food security; the promotion of the added value of food products; and the improvement of employment and economic well-being. This strategic planning tool can help propel investments by young agri-entrepreneurs at national or regional levels, and help ensure their sustainability. It analyses the current environment and overall conditions young investors face while offering practical solutions to overcome the main challenges identified. The strategic planning tool also helps ensure that decision-makers take ownership of the results through a participatory and inclusive process. The strategic planning process consists of four steps: 1. Identify which actions to prioritize (promising agri-food chains; target areas and groups of young people with the potential to become successful agri-entrepreneurs and who need help the most); 2. Analyse the current context, institutional, policy, legal, and incentive frameworks as well as existing services which help young agri-entrepreneurs make sustainable investments in the agricultural sector and food systems; 3. Develop a common vision of the optimal situation for young agri-entrepreneurs investing in agri-food chains; and 4. Develop practical solutions to enhance sustainable and responsible investments by young agri-entrepreneurs. This tool was piloted and validated in Tunisia in 2019/2020. -

The 2019 Report of the Technical Cooperation Programme introduces a new series of annual reports that provide FAO Members, governments, donors, beneficiaries and other stakeholders with evidence of the impact of the work carried out by FAO through the TCP. Prepared by the Outreach, Marketing and Reporting Unit (PSRR), in close collaboration with the TCP Coordination Unit in the Office of the Assistant Director-General (ADG-PS), the first in the series presents and assesses the achievements and catalytic role of TCP-funded projects. Based on a review of the TCP projects operationally closed during 2018 and interviews with lead technical officers, technical officers at FAO headquarters, budget holders and FAO country representatives, the report provides details on the characteristics, typical interventions and results of the programme, and features a select number of in-depth stories to highlight the tangible and lasting results of the programme’s catalytic work.
