Synopsis (short abstract) La biodiversité pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture désigne la diversité aux niveaux génétique, spécifique et écosystémique des plantes, des animaux et des microorganismes qui vivent au sein et autour des systèmes de production agricole, animale, forestière et aquatique. Elle est indispensable aux moyens d’existence, à la sécurité alimentaire et à la fourniture des services écosystémiques, mais un certain nombre de ses éléments essentiels sont en déclin. La Commission constitue la seule instance permanente où les gouvernements peuvent examiner et négocier des questions spécifiquement liées à la diversité biologique pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture. Ses principaux objectifs sont de garantir la conservation et l’utilisation durable des ressources génétiques pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture, et le partage juste et équitable des avantages découlant de leur utilisation au profit des générations présentes et futures.

    This is one of a set of posters, the communication materials for farmers in "Soil Doctors Global Programme". the program is a farmer-to-farmer training programme and the poster will be used for farmers by farmers to teach and learn soil function and problems related to soils. This poster explain contribution factors and preventative factors of soil erosion by water. It is in line with the implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines for Sustainable Soil Management and to maintain healthy soils and food safety in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals and the FAO’s Strategic Objectives. It contributes to the efforts of ending hunger, malnutrition, climate change adaptation, land degradation and overall sustainable development. It also contributes to the strategic framework of FAO especially SP 1, 2.
