Book (stand-alone)High-profileمدونة السلوك الطوعية للحدّ من الفاقد والمهدر من الأغذية 2022ينطوي الفاقد والمهدر من الأغذية على آثار تطال العديد من التحديات الأكثر إلحاحًا في عصرنا. وتحدث مستويات كبيرة من الفاقد والمهدر من الأغذية على طول السلاسل التي تربط مكان إنتاج الأغذية بمكان استهلاكها. وفي الوقت ذاته، يعاني مئات الملايين من الأشخاص على كوكب الأرض من نقص التغذية ويتعذر على مليارات الأشخاص تحمل كلفة نمط غذائي صحي. ويسهم الفاقد والمهدر من الأغذية في تغير المناخ ويضغطان بشكل هائل على الموارد الطبيعية والنظم الإيكولوجية والتنوع البيولوجي في العالم، ما يعرض للخطر قدرتنا وقدرة أجيال المستقبل على ضمان الأمن الغذائي والتغذية وسبل العيش دون تجاوز العتبات الحرجة لاستدامة البيئة الطبيعية. وتقدم مدونة السلوك الطوعية للحد من الفاقد والمهدر من الأغذية، التي وضعت استجابة لطلب صادر عن لجنة الزراعة في المنظمة في عام 2018 وأقرها مؤتمر المنظمة في دورته الثانية والأربعين المعقودة في يونيو/حزيران 2021، إطارًا عامًا للإجراءات والمبادئ التوجيهية التي ينبغي اتباعها للحد من الفاقد والمهدر من الأغذية مع العمل في الوقت ذاته على النهوض بنظم غذائية أكثر كفاءة وشمولًا واستدامة وقدرة على الصمود. ويمكن للحكومات استخدام هذا الإطار كأساس لوضع استراتيجيات وسياسات وتشريعات. كما يمكن الاستعانة بالإطار لصياغة برامج بشأن الحد من الفاقد والمهدر من الأغذية وإعداد خطوط توجيهية فنية لكي يستخدمها الممارسون.

The 2019 Report of the Technical Cooperation Programme introduces a new series of annual reports that provide FAO Members, governments, donors, beneficiaries and other stakeholders with evidence of the impact of the work carried out by FAO through the TCP. Prepared by the Outreach, Marketing and Reporting Unit (PSRR), in close collaboration with the TCP Coordination Unit in the Office of the Assistant Director-General (ADG-PS), the first in the series presents and assesses the achievements and catalytic role of TCP-funded projects. Based on a review of the TCP projects operationally closed during 2018 and interviews with lead technical officers, technical officers at FAO headquarters, budget holders and FAO country representatives, the report provides details on the characteristics, typical interventions and results of the programme, and features a select number of in-depth stories to highlight the tangible and lasting results of the programme’s catalytic work. -

2008The need for access to antimicrobials in both human and veterinary medicine is critical. However, with increasing resistance to antimicrobials, it has been necessary for WHO and OIE to develop lists of critically important antimicrobials for human and veterinary use respectively. A comparison of these two lists highlights the overlap that occurs. Therefore FAO/WHO/OIE implemented an expert meeting to review the overlap, identify the current and potential hazards to public health result ing from this and, find an appropriate balance between animal health needs and public health considerations. In addition this meeting sought to identify the combinations – human-pathogen-antimicrobial use and animal species – that could be considered by risk managers as the priority combinations for future risk-benefit assessment and review current management strategies and options for maintaining the efficacy of critically important antimicrobials for humans and animals. This report contains the findings of that expert meeting and gives particular attention to principles and approaches for prioritization for risk assessment and the identification and characterization of preliminary risk management activities for minimizing the risk of antimicrobial resistance associated with food animals. In addition it includes a series of recommendations to FAO, WHO, OIE and national governments related to assessment and management of antimicrobial resistance resulting from the use of antimicrobials in food animals.
