2021Појавата на болести кај животните може да предизвика бројни проблеми кои може значително да влијаат врз егзистенцијата, безбедноста на храната и врз животната средина. Правилното отстранување на животинските мрши од животните кои угинале или биле убиени за време на болеста е клучната компонента за успешната интервенција против појавата на болеста затоа што со тоа се спречува или ублажува понатамошното ширење на патогените предизвикувачи; а во случај на зоонотски блести, се штити и здравјето на луѓето. Практичните упатства што се дадени овде ги разработуваат прашањата што треба да се земат предвид и процедурите што се препорачуваат за постапување со животинските мрши и отпад. Наменети се за употреба од страна на ветеринарните служби и другите надлежни органи кога ги изработуваат своите планови за сузбивање и искоренување при појавата на болести кај животните. Упатството се однесува на појавата на болести кај животните од најразличен обем, и без разлика дали појавата е изолирана на еден објект или опфаќа пошироко подрачје со поголем број објекти. Сепак, упатството главно се фокусира на малите и средните стопанства во земјите кои не располагаат со конструирани депонии, кафилерии или погони за контролирано спалување. Упатството е напишано во духот на „едноставност и изводливост“, земајќи ги предвид ограничените човечки и финансиски ресурси во голем број земји за решавање на овој проблем. Излагањето и практичниот приод беа осмислени така што земјите со сигурност да може да го употребат упатството како корисна алатка во своите процедури за итни интервенции. Освен тоа, ова упатство директно придонесува и за приодот на „едно здравје“ преку заштитата на здравјето на животните, луѓето и животната средина. -

2021Shpërthimet e sëmundjeve të kafshëve paraqesin shumë sfida që mund të kenë një ndikim të rëndësishëm në jetesën, sigurinë ushqimore dhe mjedisin. Asgjësimi i duhur i kafshëve të ngordhura të gjatë një shpërthimi të sëmundjes është një faktor sepse ndihmon në parandalimin ose zbutjen e përhapjes së mëtejshme të patogjenëve; në rastin e sëmundjes zoonotike, ajo mbron më tej shëndetin e njeriut. Udhëzimet praktike të paraqitura këtu ofrojnë konsiderata për menaxhimin e mbetjeve dhe procedurat e rekomanduara. Ato janë përgatitur për përdorim nga Shërbimet Veterinare dhe autoritetet e tjera zyrtare të reagimit kur zhvillojnë plane për frenimin dhe çrrënjosjen e shpërthimit të sëmundjeve të kafshëve. Udhëzimet zbatohen për shpërthimet e sëmundjeve të kafshëve me madhësi të ndryshme, nga ato që janë të izoluara në një ekonomi të vetme deri tek ato që shtrihen në një rajon për të mbuluar ferma të shumta. Sidoqoftë, ato janë të përqendruara në ferma të vogla dhe të mesme në vendet pa qasje në deponitë e inxhinieruara, impiantet e dhënies së djegies kontrroluar ose inceneratorët. Udhëzimet janë shkruar në mënyrën “mbajeni atë të thjeshtë dhe të realizueshme”, duke marrë parasysh burimet e kufizuara njerëzore dhe financiare të shumë vendeve kur adresojnë këtë çështje. 2018Given the spread of different transboundary animal diseases (TADs) such as African Swine fever (ASF), Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) and Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD), it is pertinent that FAO will provide assistance to countries in a way of practical knowledge on how to deal with animal carcasses. This is particularly important considering the One Health approach as carcasses mismanagement can have a huge impact not only on animal health buy also on the environmental and human health .

The guide has been prepared in cooperation with Metro Turkey, Republic of Turkiye Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). This guide was developed in order to guide the hotel, restaurant, other public consumption industries in overcoming the following challenges in the prevention of food waste: - Prevention or Reduction of food waste at the facility level, - Donation of food that may be wasted but can be still consumed safely, - Recycling of food waste that could not be saved.
